Because it protects against splattering, it's a useful accessory for Nordic Ware's two-sided round microwave bacon/meat grill. The cover fits dinner plates up to 11 inches in diameter. It also enables two plates of food to be cooked or warmed in a microwave at once: cover one and stack the second atop the cover. Summary: could be better......
Comment: I have been seeing a few of these at my Brother's place. After using a similar item, i liked how tall it was and how well it fit over and around the plate. After spending several years using paper towels and plastic wrap over Chinese food (to keep the rice moist.). I received this item for Christmas after asking for one on the Christmas list. I was a bit disappointed that there was no handle on top of the cover. The only way to life off is through the hole for moisture escape. I have noticed that water likes to cling to it and thus you are putting a finger on the water inside to lift the cover. Also, it appears the cover is made to fit on top of the plate. (There are tabs on the edge of the lower opening to allow for it to rest on the plate.) It seems sturdy but there doesnt appear to be that much of a lip after that to secure to the sides of the plate edge. This cover is limited in what it can cover. It is not tall enough for my soup mugs to be covered without resting it on top of the edge. It also is only about 2 1/2 inches tall so it seems any high foods such as chicken and ribs will have issues and he food will once again sit on the cover to try to cook.
I can only give it three stars as i wish it was taller, fit fully over my plates, and had a handle to pick the top off instead of just the vent ring.

Comment: Great cover for microwave. No need to use plastic wrap or paper towels that move around etc. ... especially for soup and eggs tend to "exploid and spatter over the interior of the microwave oven!

Comment: THIS IS A GREAT ITEM TO KEEP FOOD FROM MAKING A MESS INSIDE YOUR MICROWAVE, HOWEVER IF YOU LEAVE IT ON THE STOVE AND TURN THE BURNER ON IT WILL MELT lol. SO THIS IS THE SECOND ONE I HAVE PURCHASED! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Comment: No more wasting paper towels with this cover. WARNING!!! Don't put finger in hole after heating. I would watch it around children. When it gets dirty just pop it in dish washer. It seems to speed up cooking times.
