Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent, But Fragile Comment: I haven't had a problem with these, and love 'em! I haven't broken one yet (knock wood!). I do wash them gently by hand, am extremely mindful to handle them with care, and don't add sugar (i.e., no spoons stirring in the cups). They hold two shots ("dopio"), keep the espresso hot for a reasonable amt. of time (I pre-heat mine under hot water prior to brewing), and look the business! There's something about seeing the espresso churn in the cup (i.e., looks just like Guinness being drawn from the tap in pint glasses) and seeing the meniscus of the espresso and the crema on top that is highly appealing! I've got a set of these, a set of Bodum Pavina's (good also, but no handle and only good for a single "solo" shot), and Bodum Paula's as well (ok, and also hold only a solo, but are not glass). I'd buy these again...recommended.
Customer Rating: Summary: coffee stays hot, your hand does not! Comment: enjoyable to drink out of, these glasses feel a bit fragile, but get the job done. aesthetically pleasing, form and function together. recommended
Customer Rating: Summary: Great glasses, quality control problem Comment: Luigi Bormioli Duo 4-Ounce Espresso Glasses, Set of 4
I love the appearance, functionality, and style of the Duo glassware. We have the 16oz Dou glasses and the 4oz expresso glasses. The company would seem to have a quality control problem in their manufacture, as one of the 16 oz glasses and one of the 4oz glasses developed a leak in the seal between the inner and outer glasses, and the first time in the dishwasher collected water between the two layers that won't go away. Because of this I would not purchase more of this product.
Customer Rating: Summary: High quality Espresso Glasses Comment: I have seen many types of Espresso glases, in my personal opinion this is the Porsche of Espresso glases.
Customer Rating: Summary: Elegant Double Walled Cup Comment: I love these glasses. The double wall glass keeps all of the heat away from the outer surface. Very light weight and artsy. They will not endure a drop on the floor so treat these cups with care. And no, they do not look like "plastic" as some suggest. I use mine for small cappucinos. The 4 oz size is probably not large enough for a cup of coffee.
