Editorial Reviews:

The powerful 610 watt Ikon blender will make an industrious and long-lasting addition to your kitchen. It has a durable stainless steel base and glass jar and the pad is designed without crevices for easy cleaning. With its unique Bowl/Blade system, a super-wide curved blade operates parallel above a bowl, eliminating dead zones by created a continual folding movement - so efficient that it runs at slow speeds and blends in super fast time. It's quiet, smooth, easy to clean and simple to use. Has five settings, from ice crush to snow setting.

Customer Rating: Summary: Very nice - Pretty sitting on the counter - Feels solidly built Comment: This blender is easy to use. No real dead zones in the mixing. Easy to wash, Tightly fitting lid. Big enough to make shakes for the family in one round. It is a bit loud but then aren't most blenders that have any power?
It has very clean lines, the cord wraps up under the blender so you don't have a long amount of extra cord in the way on your counter.
Basically I love this blender. It is a serious appliance.
Customer Rating: Summary: Breville BBL550XL Ikon 610-Watt Stainless-Steel Blender Comment: Breville BBL550XL Ikon 610-Watt Stainless-Steel Blender
This is a good product and its company name brand, but I don't think its performance (all of what it can do) would deserve its high pricing (over-pricing).
Customer Rating: Summary: TERRIBLE customer service Comment: This blender worked as well as everyone says... for 4 months. Then it died. It screeches horribly when you turn it on. It's warranted for one year, so we went to Breville's website & called them on the phone. We spent a whole day trying to call, we used their "callback service" but never heard back, we waited on hold for several hours. Then at exactly 5:00pm after all that holding on the phone, a voice abruptly stated: "We have closed for the day (period)." Breville bills itself as a premium company. I would guess we will never buy a Breville product again.
Customer Rating: Summary: class act Comment: A wonderful blender - great looks, works every time, simple controls. I'd give it a five-star if it wasn't a bit on the expensive side. I don't know what the fuss is about with the noise level in previous reviews. This is quieter than the 5-year-old Kitchen Aid we had to throw out because its motor burned out and the vendor no longer carries a replacement part. For a $100 blender?? Come on, Kitchen Aid! And the motor burned out because of poor design of the blade assembly, which tended to stick.
Customer Rating: Summary: Best blender for the buck Comment: We've had some blenders. This one is better than even the "pro" models we had.
Quiet (though not silent), chews through ice chuncks, smoothie button works like a charm.
Easy to use and easy to clean up.
I know there is a more powerful model from Breville, but I haven't seen the need for it.
