Until i found the best deal on Amazon no taxes no shipping cost cheaper than the market price. Comment: After a recent trip to Rome and Sorrento, my wife and I were looking for a relatively easy way to recapture some of the espresso and cappuccino magic we experienced on our trip. A quick internet search produced the Nespresso C100, and encouraged by the mostly positive reviews, we ordered one along with the Aeroccino. A tiny bit of background: we love coffee. Our daily brew machine is a Technivorm MOCCAMASTER, and we use a Capresso burr grinder, and we buy beans from Caribou Coffee or a local barista. No, we don't have a $1000+ coffeemaker, but we definitely LOVE a good cup of coffee. On to the Nespresso... I have to admit I was skeptical of a product that utilizes sealed pods or capsules for coffee: how good could it be? The positive reviews reassured me, and the fact that Nespresso is owned by Nestle should ensure that the company is around for the long term. Using the product is basically foolproof. Let it heat up (takes about 60 seconds), the run the lungo cycle to heat your cup with hot water, dump out the hot water and put your cup beneath the Nespresso's spout, pop in a pod and hit the appropriate (espresso - 40ml or lungo - 110ml) button, and you have hot espresso in a matter of seconds. We've tried a number of the different coffees which are available, occasionally trying them side by side, and have been impressed with the results. In particular, every cup boasts a perfect crema. There are noticeable differences between the varying flavors, so you ought to be able to find something that suits your tastes. I've ordered additional capsules from Nespresso, and they were delivered 2 days later. Capsules cost about $ .50 each, by the way. Clean-up takes seconds; not much I can say about it, other than it's simple and painless. A convenient drip tray takes care of, well, any drips which occur after you remove your cup. The unit is quite compact, and takes up little counter space. The Aeroccino works very well. That said, like a few reviewers have mentioned, it sometimes produces too much froth and overflows a bit. I had used Nespresso products in hotels before and decided to buy one. It is super easy to operate, easy to keep clean and very fast. This is a must for espresso lovers. The price is a bit higher than others in retail, but the performance is worth it! I found the price on Amazon (with shipping added) much cheaper than going to the stores in my local area. I love that an ample supply of espresso pods come with it to sample all the varieties. As other reviewers commented it took a little practice to perfect my perfect cup (largo, etc) but not difficult.
